Kennel Assistant – Daycare, Boarding & Grooming Facility

Location: Wake Forest, NC
Job Type: Part-time (15–30 hours/week, with potential for more)
Pay: Negotiable based on experience + tips

We are a fully interactive pet care facility offering daycare, boarding, and grooming services. Our mission is to provide a safe, fun, and loving environment for dogs and cats while supporting their owners and the foster pets we serve in the community.

Job Summary:

We’re looking for energetic, reliable individuals who love animals and thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. As a K9 Attendant, you’ll supervise and care for our furry guests, keep the facility clean and safe, and ensure every pet has the best possible experience.

No prior experience is required — just a strong work ethic, compassion for animals, and a willingness to learn!

Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional care to daycare and boarding pets
  • Supervise playgroups and ensure safe interactions
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe facility (including cleaning up after pets)
  • Assist with daily operations and tasks
  • Interact with customers
  • Follow instructions and safety protocols
  • Perform occasional heavy lifting (50+ lbs.) and stand for long periods

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Flexibility to work some morning shifts (starting at 6:15 am) and/or some evening shifts (closing up to 8 pm)
  • Availability on weekdays, some weekends, and some holidays
  • Ability to multitask and work in a physically demanding environment
  • Positive attitude, reliability, honesty, patience, and integrity
