Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Pet Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate has experience grooming a variety of dog breeds and is committed to providing safe, high-quality grooming services while ensuring the comfort and well-being of pets.
Key Responsibilities
Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, clipping, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and breed-specific haircuts
Evaluate pets for skin conditions, parasites, or other health concerns and notify pet owners of any issues
Safely handle pets of various sizes, temperaments, and breeds
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of grooming tools, equipment, and work areas
Ensure pets are groomed according to owner instructions and breed standards
Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with pet owners about services and care recommendations
Maintain accurate records of services performed
Monitor pets during grooming to ensure safety and comfort
Upsell additional grooming services or products when appropriate
Qualifications
Previous pet grooming experience preferred
Knowledge of breed-specific cuts and grooming standards
Ability to safely handle animals of all sizes and temperaments
Strong attention to detail
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
Certification from a grooming school is a plus
Preferred Skills
Familiarity with grooming software or appointment scheduling systems
Basic knowledge of animal behavior
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Team-oriented mindset
Work Environment
Exposure to wet conditions, pet dander, and grooming chemicals
Standing for long periods
Weekend and holiday availability may be required
